Survey Says GST Impact on Restaurants Positive

Even though the lack of clarity over the regulations under the Goods and Services regime remains to be a problem, its impact on the restaurant industry in Bengaluru and Mumbai is positive so far, a recent survey by Grant Thornton India reveals.
The survey titled “Bob Appetit- Emerging trends, opportunities and challenges in Indian Restaurant Industry” that covered 29 restaurant owners in Bengaluru, and 35 in Mumbai also found that cash continues to be the main mode of payment and accounts for 20-30% of the payments today.
