Thanks to India, Asia has More Billionaires than the US for the First Time

In a first, the number of billionaires in Asia is greater than that of the US, as per a report issued by UBS AG and PricewaterhouseCoopers this Thursday. What’s more- India not only tops the list but also surpasses China in terms of contribution. While India added 84 billionaires to the number, China added only 67.
The report says that the number of billionaires in Asia during the year 2016 were 637 and those in US were 563. The total billionaire wealth was also recorded to be $6 trillion in 2016.
