Top US Senators call Facebook’s ₹5 billion fine a ‘bargain’

On Monday, two top US Senators in a letter called Facebook’s FTC fine of ₹3 billion-₹5 billion a ‘bargain’. Last year the tech giant was embroiled in an investigation launched by the FTC in regards to the violation of consent the agreement reached in 2011. The said investigation was launched by the FTC after the Cambridge Analytical Data Scandal which brought into light Facebook’s improper sharing of data and personal information of more than 80  million of its users.
