TPV launches Philips feature phones in India
TPV Technology on Friday announced its introduction to the Indian phone mobile market with Philips E series feature telephones and said it plans to add cell phones to its product line-up one year from now. TPV Technology is the brand license partner for Philips audio and video products and accessories.

“Philips, as a brand for cell phones, is doing very well in Russia and China, thus, we figured we would expand the same thing to India also, so it was only an organic extension.

“We are starting with feature phones, however alongside that, we are additionally getting into mobile accessories like power banks, chargers, cables, and all the related accessories as well,” Atul Jasra, Business Head (India) for Philips Mobile Phones, told PTI.

The organization will also expand the range by adding smartphones inacc the first half of the following year, depending on how the market responds.

“Feature phones are as yet a substantial market in India, around 8-9 million feature phones sell each month in our market. In this way, not a segment that cannot be ignored. We have a range with good features,” he said.
