Traders, Digital Businesses to Approach Piyush Goyal to Discuss E-Commerce Policy

Trader organizations and digital commerce firms across the country are looking to approach Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal to discuss proposals on e-commerce policy revamping and data localization.

As soon as Goyal comes back from his trip to Japan, groups viz. Swadeshi Jagran Manch and Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) will meet with him to propose changes in e-commerce and data localization policies. It’s worth noting that the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) said that changes are expected to be made in the e-commerce policy soon.
