United Bank of India Reports Rs. 1,250 cr Loss in Q3

In a recent BSE filing, public sector United Bank of India (UBI) said that it suffered a net loss of Rs. 1,250 crores during the third quarter of fiscal 2017-18 compared to the net profit it generated during the same period in the fiscal 2016-17.

UBI also said that the figure comprises of Rs. 991 crores of provisioning for bad loan accounts that have been referred to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and Rs. 700 crores of investment depreciation.
