Walmart India’s revenue rises by 11 %

Walmart India, the Indian wholesale unit of Walmart posted a 11% increase in its revenue.

This report was taken for the year ended in March.

The reason Walmart India incurred net losses year by year was because of the investments they tried to input to build better future technological changes in the company.

The company stated,” We continue to build capabilities for the future through investments in revamping our technology infrastructure to enhance our omnichannel capabilities and in people development. The increased losses during the year under review reflect the investments that we are making to drive our future growth.”

In India, Walmart doesn’t sell directly to consumers. It directly deals with wholesalers.
