August 06, 2018
Human Resources which we often refer to by the abbreviation HR is an important department of every organization. After all, it’s entrusted with the management of the most important resources of the firm, which are the employees.
The following are 4 main reasons why HR has a huge significance in every organization:
Recruitment
It’s the responsibility of the HR department to find the right talent for their company, schedule interviews, and screen the candidates on the basis of their skills and qualification. It also designs the assessment processes that can help identify the qualities that their company is looking for.
Skill Training and Development
When a new talent joins a company, the HR conducts an orientation and arranges for the standard training as well. From time to time, it also organizes workshops and skill training programs that can help the employees upgrade their skillset and master the abilities they already have.
Salary, Leave Management
The HR keeps a record of the attendance of the employees, sanctions the leaves, and calculate their salaries on the basis of the same. As a result, it works closely with the accounts department to ensure that every employee gets the right salary which is appropriately divided into different parts viz. basic salary, conveyance allowances, medical allowances, HRA, etc.
Compliance Maintenance and Conflict Resolution
Every registered company running operations in the country is required to meet certain norms and regulations. These cover industry practices, taxes, employee management, workplace safety, etc. The HR ensures that the company’s operations aren’t affected or hampered due to red tape and also works to prevent the liabilities as much as possible.
