Sierra Leone a country still recovering from the aftermath of the Civil War is showing the world as to how radio can play a very important part in raising governance issues. People in power, activists as well as common citizens are given a common platform on which the pressing issues can be raised.Radio gives an opportunity for all communities to come together and discuss the issues of national importance and local significance.Attempts are made to make people aware of their civil rights and duties so that they can raise them with the competent authorities. Also, the fact that media is a lucrative field and one can make a long lasting and satisfying career is highlighted.
