Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms with over a billion active monthly users. It’s easy to use and offers good user engagement which makes it an ideal platform for small and big business to market their products and services.

Creating a Good Profile
Since you get only up to 150 characters to tell about your business in your account’s bio section, make sure to use it well. Think of your business’s value proposition, the USP, and highlight the best features. You also have the option to add one website link which could be your business website. However, it’s best to update it from time to time with new landing pages, promotional pages, etc.
Using the Right Hashtags
Hashtags are extremely important in Instagram. So, use them as much as possible.
When you publish new images or videos, you should add up to 5 appropriate hashtags to improve their visibility. There should also be a hashtag of your brand like #yourbrand.
Mastering the Timing
Depending on your target audience, you should pick the most suitable times for uploading new content.
For instance, if you are targeting salaried professionals, then you won’t reach them until evenings as they are at work during the day. However, if you are targeting homemakers who have young kids, then you can reach them in the early mornings too.
Telling Stories
Instagram has this nifty “Stories” feature which is a series of images that can be used to tell a story. Since it allows you to reach the top of your followers’ feed, you can get great results if used correctly.
