Let’s understand the biggest difference between MBA and CA. While an MBA is a post-graduation course of 2 years which you can enroll in after completing your bachelor’s, a CA is a professional degree course that you can apply for right after schooling i.e. after you finish 12^th Grade.

Another major difference between CA and MBA is that CA is largely centered around theoretical elements. For instance, you learn a lot of accounting, auditing, taxation, corporate finance laws, etc. However, in MBA you need to be as good as with finance and accounts as sales and people skills. In other words, your communication skills should be excellent if you want to bag managerial positions which most of the MBA professionals do.

Talking about monetary benefits, a CA can easily look to get an annual income of Rs. 6 lakhs to 7 lakhs. However, MBA professionals can get even higher salaries easily. If you get your education from a good business school then you can easily get up to Rs. 15 to 18 lakhs per year.

So, coming back to the million-dollar question- which option is better? You can consider a few factors to make the decision for yourself. For instance, if you want to work in middle management and upper management, then an MBA is the right option. However, if you want to work in the space of auditing, taxation, etc. which require a lot of bookkeeping, then a CA certification will fetch you a decent salary too.
