₹5,215 cr Transferred to 26 mn Farmers Under PM-KISAN Scheme So Far

The NDA government has transferred ₹5,215 crores to around 26 million farmers across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme so far.
PM-Kisan is a ₹75,000 crores scheme that was announced by the government in the interim budget that was announced last month. Under this, it’s promised to provide ₹6,000 to each small and marginal farmer every year.
The first of the scheme’s three installments i.e. ₹2,000 was released recently which set the exchequer back by ₹5,215 crores although the allocated sum for the same is ₹20,000 cr. More of these funds will be utilized soon as many farmers are yet to receive their money.
