₹7,500 cr Plan for Artificial Intelligence Proposed by Niti Aayog

India’s think tank body NITI Aayog has proposed a plan for building a framework for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the country. To create a cloud computing system called AIRAWAT, it’s seeking ₹7,500 crores worth of funding from the government.
According to an official, the body has already issued the note for consideration by the Expenditure Finance Committee. It proposes that the Center provides funding of ₹7,500 crores during the first 3 years and a high-level team is appointed for the implementation of AI.
