1 bn USD to be Invested in India’s Renewable Energy Sector by EverSource Capital

EverSource Capital which is a joint venture between global solar project developer Lightsource BP and private equity firm Everstone Capital said it will invest over 1 billion USD in India’s renewable energy sector through its Green Growth Equity Fund.
CEO of EverSource Dhanpal Jhaveri said that a rapid transition to electric vehicles across the country is expected after the costs of battery start coming down which is why the company looks to invest in clean energy whether it’s solar, wind, or hybrid.
