180 Million Jobs for Women at High Risk, Warns IMF
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) warned that nearly 180 million women around the world are at a risk of losing their jobs to new technologies like automation and artificial intelligence. In light of that, the institution has urged global organizations to close the gender gap in leadership positions and equip women with the required skills.

IMF released a note recently in which it said that not only can the new technologies lower the demand for jobs but they can also reduce relative wages for the tasks that are primarily performed by women in the 30 countries that it has considered.
