2.76 Lakh Jobs to be Generated by FMCG, Retail in April-Sep FY20, Says Report

According to the “Employment Outlook Report” by staffing firm TeamLease Services, retail and fast-moving consumer goods and durables (FMCG/D) sectors are looking to create 2.76 lakh new jobs in April-September in the financial year 2019-20. It said that while retail alone projects a 2% increased employment rate and addition of 1.66 lakh new jobs, the same in FMCG/D may increase by 1% to give rise to 1.10 lakh jobs. It also said that Bengaluru and Delhi are the top job creators in retail.
