4 Chinese Firms Sued by Facebook Over Sale of Fake Accounts
Social media giant Facebook and its child company Instagram have filed lawsuits against 3 individuals and 4 firms that are based in China for the promotion of fake accounts, followers, likes, etc.  

The complaint that was recently filed in San Francisco federal court says that the companies were promoting and creating fake social media accounts over the past 2 years and selling them on 6 websites in bulk quantities. 

The social media companies have alleged that fake accounts can be used for marketing scams, frauds, spam and phishing campaigns, etc.
