50 mn Jobs Must be Created by MSMEs in 5 Yrs, Says Nitin Gadkari

This Friday, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that in light of the major problem of unemployment that India is facing today, the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) must create 5 crore jobs in the next 5 years. He said that the same is necessary for India to become a 5 billion USD economy.
Gadkari said that MSMEs need to increase their contribution to the GDP by up to 50%. At present, the sector is contributing 29% and has created 11 jobs in past years.
