5G to spur contractual staffing in telecom

The much-awaited 5G service roll out is relied upon to prod telecom contractual staffing throughout the following two years and will arise as a critical driver for recruiting exercises in the area, as per a senior authority at TeamLease.

The Department of Telecom (DoT) effectively set the ball rolling for 5G trails recently, when it supported uses of telecom organizations including Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea for directing the preliminaries.

As per Deval Singh, Business Head-Telecom, IT and ITES, Media and Government, TeamLease Services, the viewpoint for contractual recruiting in the sector stays positive, despite certain ambiguities because of the second serious wave of COVID-19.

“Telecom vertical is perhaps the greatest market for staffing industry. This was one of the verticals which became in any event, during the COVID times, and I accept that pattern will proceed in 2021,” Singh told PTI.

The 5G roll out in future will offer a lift to the economy and to the labor market, Singh said.
