Aadhaar Secure from Malware: UIDAI Chairman J Satyanarayana

Granting relief to the people with concerns regarding Aadhaar’s data security the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) said that its database is completely secure and protected from all kinds of malware.

UIDAI Chairman J Satyanarayana said that the data stored in the Aadhaar’s servers is encrypted and thus can’t be tampered with. He also said that the main systems of the Aadhaar are well-designed which is why there is no reason to worry.

Today UIDAI manages the data of about 114 crore Indians in more than 6,000 servers. The concerns regarding its security grew recently in the wake of the WannaCry attacks.
