After Removing Over 2 Lakh Shell Companies, Government is set to Focus on LLPs
After identifying and removing more than 200,000 lakh shell firms from the records, the government is now aiming to scrap dubious limited liability partnerships (LLPs). According to officials, around 7,775 LLPs have already been served notices for not filing IT returns for at least 2 years in a row.

The registrars of companies (RoCs) are already taking LLPs off the records. While RoC Delhi has struck off 1,100 LLPs so far, RoC Mumbai has removed 1,700 LLPs.
