Air India to be Broken into Four Companies for Sale

Accepting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s disinvestment proposal, the government has decided to divide the national carrier, Air India, into four small companies which will be soon up for sale.
Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, said that the core airline business of Air India as well as Air India Express will be sold as one company, and the entire process will be finished by the end of the year.
Following PM Modi’s proposal, a minimum of 51% stake will be offered for sale with regard to each of the four companies.
