Amazon enters into Indian food delivery sector

Amazon is launching its food delivery operations in India in some parts of India that will see the e-commerce giant competing against other players in the Indian market. The announced by Amazon comes at the time when the other food delivery giants are laying off employees due to the impact of a pandemic.

Amazon India spokesperson said, “Customers have been requesting us that they would like to order prepared meals on its platform in addition to essentials products and the local businesses also need help”.

The service will be available in Bengaluru as of now. This includes outlets like Box8, Chai point, Chaayos, Faasos, MOD, and many hotels and restaurants.
