Amazon India has Highest Number of Job Vacancies in Asia-Pacific

Even as the new government policies for e-commerce are hampering the industry in India, online retail giant Amazon continues to be bullish. As of today, it has the highest number of job openings in the entire Asia-Pacific region.
Amazon India has 1,286 vacancies in India which are almost three times higher than China which has 467 vacancies. Comparatively, Japan has only 381 vacancies, Australia 250 vacancies, and Singapore 174 vacancies.
Industry experts say that Amazon is expanding its business in India beyond e-commerce into areas like voice-assistant (Alexa), content (Prime Video and Music), digital payments, etc.
