Amazon rolls out new program to list local shops as sellers

Amazon India has launched an initiative for the small shops and retailers to sell their products online on its platform.

Gopal Pillai, Amazon India’s vice president of seller services said in a blog post, “The program will enroll small sellers on Amazon’s platform and allow them to sell products online”.

The new program will allow users to choose the area for the delivery for the same day or the next day. Small shops are required to update the details on the Amazon Delivery app for the customers. The program will take place after the lockdown restrictions are eased. This development has been launched during the time of coronavirus outbreak to help the small sellers.
