Andhra Pradesh Tops Ease of Doing Business Index for States
July 17, 2018
Andhra Pradesh has secured the number one position on the ease of doing business for states followed by Telangana and Haryana which are ranked second and third, respectively.
The rankings are based on “feedback score” and “reform evidence score” which took into account around 372 recommendations in 12 areas. The details of these rankings are put under the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion’s (DIPP’s) Business Reforms Action Plan, 2017 and published on the official website.
Amid other states, Maharashtra took everyone by surprise as it stood at the 13th position even though it’s home to the financial capital i.e. Mumbai.
