Arun Jaitley Calls Ayushman Bharat a “Game Changer”, Says Treated 6.85 Lakh Patients

This Tuesday, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley termed the Ayushman Bharat scheme a “game changer”. He said that it’s benefitted as many as 6.85 lakh people from poor families in just 100 days since launch.
Jaitley said that around 5,000 insurance claims are being settled on average per day under the national healthcare scheme. He also said that the government expects it to start benefiting more than one crore families after just a few years.
