Arun Jaitley: Mission Indradhanush to instill capital in banks

- Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the step to infuse capital in public sector banks for recapitalisation under Mission Indradhanush is not the last step. He also stated that the government is fully supportive and many more steps will be taken.
- The recent highlight upon the staggering condition of the banks due to the non performing assets (NPAs), has made the banks weak, and government needs to check health status for the sector.
- Finance Minister also added that the problem of NPA is related to some big accounts and needs to be resolved as soon as possible, and people need to realise that the banks need to be paid back.
