Arvind Kejriwal Announces Free Safety Kits for Sanitation Workers

This Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the state government will provide free safety kits to the sanitation workers. He was speaking at a workshop that was hosted at Talkatora Stadium when he said that he feels dismayed hearing about the deaths of sanitation workers.

Around 4,000 people attended the worker in the national capital that was organized by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).

Vice-Chairman of DJB Dinesh Mohaniya said that there are 12,000 sanitation workers under the board. He added that the number of sewer lines has increased by up to 80% under their tenure from the previous 50%.
