Ashok Lavasa Meets US investors to Attract Investments for the BFSI Sector

Ashok Lavasa, Indian Finance Secretary, met with prominent US-based funds and global institutional investors at a conference held in New York for tapping into potential investments in the country’s BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector.
It was ICICI Securities Limited that hosted the India Financial Conference on May 12.
A statement released by the finance ministry said that a total of 148 meetings were held with industry experts and corporates in which 44 representatives from 35 institutional investor firms were involved. These investor meetings were conducted in small group settings and on aone-on-one basis.
