AU SFB launches bill payments via video banking
AU Small Finance Bank has become the country’s first commercial bank to connect with the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) and deliver bill payment services via video banking, stated a press release from the bank. “The fundamental goal of this effort is to increase digital accessibility and economic capabilities, which will lead to greater financial inclusion,” stated the press release.

Customers can use this platform to pay their bills without having to go to a branch, which is especially useful for senior persons and others with mobility challenges who live in distant locations.

Customers can make payments directly from their AU account to more than 20,000 billers in 20+ categories with the assistance of the banking staff. “Using AU SFB’s video banking service, people can now make payments such as FASTag, loan repayment, insurance, investments, education fees, municipal taxes, utility payments including gas, electricity, mobile, landline, water, DTH bills, and other payments,” stated the press release.

Customers of AU Small Finance Bank can easily connect with the bank’s video banker via the website (https://www.aubank.in) or AU 0101 app to access the recently announced bill payment service on video banking.

The customers can then ask the video banker for assistance with paying their bills; they will verify the necessary data and make the payment procedure easier. After the transaction has been completed, the video banker will give the customer a copy of the receipt through chat or call, depending on how they like to communicate.
