Axis Bank Increases Borrowing Limit to Rs. 2 Crores

Private sector Axis bank said that the board has given a nod to increasing the maximum borrowing limit to Rs. 2 crores. It said that the board has also granted approval for raising funds by issue of debt instruments of an amount up to Rs. 35,000 crores in both Indian and foreign currency.
The bank is currently facing loss trying to recover from bad loans. In FY18 Q4, it reported a loss of Rs. 2,186 crores.
