Balderton Capital Raises $375 Million for Tech Start-ups

Balderton Capital closed a new round of investment after raising $375 million of funds that will be dedicated to start-ups in the technology sector. This would make it one of the largest fundraisers of the year in the region, the firm said.

The London-based company, which is known for financing Yoox and Betfair, says it may make about 30 to 35 new investments with the capital. However, Bernard Liautaud, managing partner, said that 10 investments have already been made with the funds. He also said that there could be an Amazon, Facebook, or Google from Europe, and the next big company from the region would be a technology company.
