BBB, Government Gear up For Finding Next SBI Chairman

As the term of the current SBI Chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya is nearing the end, the government along with Banks Board Bureau is preparing for the hunt for the successor. A senior official said that the government is starting the process earlier to ensure a seamless transition and minimize the duration for which the position is left vacant.

The four managing directors of State Bank of India- Dinesh Kumar Khara, PK Gupta, B Sriram, and Rajnish Kumar are all running for the chairmanship. However, Khara and Gupta project a stronger case as they have longer tenures remaining.
