Bengal FM Amit Mitra Opposes GST Rates

Bengal Finance Minister Amit Mitra has opposed GST rates on some products that he believes will affect the economy negatively, and thus may lead to increased unemployment.
Mitra said that the demand to bring down the GST rates on some products should be continued so that the negative impact on the economy and employment can be avoided. He also said that he shall attend the next council meeting to discuss the same, granted his health allows it.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee also said that the party will keep on fighting against the one-sided decisions taken by Centre until a mutually beneficial solution is reached.
