BigBasket clocks $1.1bn gross sales

Online grocery startup BigBasket timed gross deals of $1.1 billion, or ₹8,000 crore, in monetary year 2021, turning out to be just the second upward e-commerce player in India to do as such after online style retailer Myntra.

Even e-tailers like Flipkart and Amazon India, who sell a wide range of products, have recently crossed the billion-dollar sales mark.

That BigBasket, presently greater part claimed by Tata Group, has arrived at this achievement shows the high development that online grocery platforms have seen since the Covid flare-up a year ago. The pandemic has progressed development and extension evaluations of these platforms by at least one year.

Presently, the Bengaluru-based e-grocer is multiplying down on the development energy and is hoping to earn net sales of around $125 million, or ₹910 crore, before the end of May, which is higher than July a year ago, when its deals had peaked.
