Bribery Still Rampant; 40% Indians Paid Bribes in Cash, Says Survey
Even as the government continues to claim that it’s leaving no stone unturned in fighting corruption and black money, the India Corruption Survey 2018 says otherwise.

According to the survey that was conducted by LocalCircles and Transparency International India, 40% Indians admitted to paying a bribe, and that too in cash which goes to show that the goal of a digital economy is still far from reality. The survey which recorded the responses of over 1.6 lakh individuals also shows that the percentage of people who pay bribe have also increased since last year from 45% to 56%.
