Businesses Must Display GSTIN on Sign Boards: Government

All businesses registered under the GST regime are required to display their GST registration number (GSTIN) on their registration certifications and sign boards on the premises. Those who have opted for the composition scheme also need to make their status clear to the public and disclose that they are not allowed to collect taxes by mentioning the same in the registration certificate and sign boards.

A senior tax official said that the public disclosure of such information is a legal requirement in the interest of the people doing business with them.

Business entities who will not generate a certificate of registration within 90 days can end up having their provisional ID canceled.
