Cabinet Looks to Offer Relief Package to Farmers
To give a boost to farmers’ income and resolve the various problems in the agriculture sector, the Union Cabinet may approve a package for the farmers, an official who is aware of the developments said. He informed that a meeting is being held today regarding the matter in which the Ministry of Agriculture will address problems like income deficit syndrome of small and marginal farmers. 

Some of the proposals that are considered include waiving interests on crop loans for farmers who pay their EMIs on time, and waiving the premium completely for those who have availed crop loans.
