June 13, 2018
India’s domestic air carrier Air India which is facing a massive cash crunch in the recent times is now seeking additional Rs. 2,000 crores worth of funding from the union government as a much-needed financial aid.
The government has put nearly Rs. 26,000 crores into the national carrier so far as per its Rs. 30,231 crores 10-year bailout package that was announced in 2012. The financial condition of the airline is still far from good, which has even resulted in delayed salaries for the 3rd month now.
