Canara Bank Joins Hands with NIA to Sell Insurance Policies

Public sector lender Canara Bank has partnered with insurance provider New India Assurance Co. to start selling policies to its customers. The bank said that this corporate agency distribution pact will allow it to sell insurance policies through its 6,000 branches all over the country.

Some of the insurance products that will be available to the public include health insurance, home insurance, travel insurance and motor insurance, and also engineering insurance and fire insurance for corporates.

Canara Bank said that the objective of this partnership is to provide top-class general insurance policies to the customers at affordable prices.
