Centre Approves Relief Package for Telecom Sector

The telecom sector which is currently stressed under a debt of Rs. 4.6 lakh crores, now finally has something to take comfort in. The union cabinet has approved a relief package which will grant more time to the operators to pay for the spectrum they bought in the auctions earlier. In addition to that, it has given relaxation to the holding limit for the spectrum as well.
The package was approved on the recommendations of the Inter-Ministerial Group (IMG) recently.
An official said that the measures are expected to bring relief and improve the cash flow for the telecom sector.
