Chandigarh May Become First Indian State to Make Biofuel with Rice

Chandigarh which once used to known as the rice-bowl of India is now looking to manufacture biofuel with various agricultural products including rice. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that agriculture researchers, scientists, and the industry have been asked to create a strategy to produce biofuel with agriculture products. He also said that the project for which the state government has taken help from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai, will be an innovation in the country and not just the state.
