China Tops US List for IP Thefts, India Comes Second
The US government has prepared a list of intellectual property (IP) and patent violations and thefts that are taking place around the world. China comes first on this “black list” followed by India.

The Office of the US Trade Representative Office (USTR) issued the annual report for 2018 in which it disclosed the names of 11 countries which are Saudi Arabia, Russia, Kuwait, Argentina, Venezuela, Ukraine, Indonesia, Algeria, Chile, and India and China.

USTR said that while the Chinese government has made certain changes in its judicial system in the past few years, it hasn’t done enough to prevent Chinese companies from violating IP rights of other international companies. It also stressed on the “longstanding deficiencies” in the IP framework in India.
