Coffee Exports from India Jumped 11.51% in April

As a result of strong global demand, India’s coffee exports grew 11.51% at USD 92.42 million in April on year on year basis. In April last year, India exported USD 82.88 million worth of coffee as per the data from the commerce ministry.

Coffee is one of the most traded commodities in the world, although India is also a major exporter of Arabica and Robusta kinds of coffee apart from the standard instant coffee. The export share of India in coffee trading is 4.5% in the world, and there are over 6 lakh people working in the Indian coffee industry.
