A cohesive National Retail Policy can assist in producing 30 lakh jobs by the year 2024, in keeping with a record with the aid of CII and Kearney.
The document mentioned that an investment of ₹6,500 crore in retail-related infrastructures, including warehousing and bloodless-storage facilities, can create 2-3 lakh greater jobs via 2024, it stated.
It referred to that retail investments may have a cascading effect, growing cost for all stakeholders with task creation, up skilling, and stepped forward labour productivity, value chain modernization and a stepped forward consumer enjoy.
“By implementing a cohesive National Retail Policy, the government can gas the retail sector’s increase, which can generate up to 30 lakh more jobs 2024, further to creating oblique employment possibilities in related sectors,” it said.
