Consumer protection Act rules came into force for E-tailers

Customer Protection Act 2019 came into power on Monday as the Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Ram Vilas Paswan tended to columnists in a virtual question and answer session.

He stated, “The guidelines for anticipation of out of line exchange practice by web based business stages will likewise be secured under this Act. In any case, online business rules will get advised before the current weeks over, while rules on direct selling will take some additional time”.

Paswan is confident that the law will engage buyers and help them in ensuring their privileges.

The Consumer Affairs Minister underlined that the entities will confront correctional activity for any non-compliance of the new standards for electronic retailers, including obligatory showcase of ‘nation of starting point’ on their items. The new standards will come into power before the current weeks over.
