Delhi Assembly Passes GST Bill

Delhi Assembly has passed the Goods and Service Tax Bill for the state, although CM Arvind Kejriwal continued to insist on capping the maximum rate at 10%.  A heated debate took place involving the former minister Kapil Mishra and a few AAP MLAs as a special session of the Assembly was conducted, at the end of which the bill was finally passed.

Attending to the reporters, Kejriwal said that the tax slabs should be 5% and 10% for the states and the center, asserting that high rates could lead to inflation.
