Domestic equity markets open positive in global cues

Domestic markets opened in green following a marked positivity in global cues. Sensex and Nifty were trading higher in the morning. In early trade, Energy and IT stocks performed very well.

TATA Steel, TCS, KOTAK Bank, ICICI Bank, and ONGC were the top gainers at the end of the session. On the other hand Titan, M&M, Maruti, Bajaj, Bharti Airtel were among the losers.

India VIX volatility index has fallen by 5% which is good news as it seems that markets will not see huge swings throughout the session.
