Draft National E-Commerce Policy Poses New Challenges for Flipkart, Amazon
A draft national e-commerce policy was recently issued by the Center which is just 2 months after the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPII) notified about the various changes for the e-commerce marketplaces.

Even though the top online retailers like Amazon and Flipkart were already having a hard time after DRII’s notification, the draft policy is likely to make the situation even worse for them. Some of the problems that they may now have to deal with include restriction on the sharing of data with third parties, increased supply chain transparency that will disallow the use of any loopholes for tax benefits, etc.
